Krista explains that Shout ATL stands for Seek God, Honor Him, Open Your Heart, Unite in Faith, and Testify His Goodness. The idea was born out of a heartfelt conversation at the beginning of the year, where both young women recognized the need for revival within their college community. They wanted to create a space where students could worship freely and deepen their relationship with God.

When asked why they felt this was necessary, Kaiya highlights that while they regularly attend services at Dream Center Church of Atlanta, they saw a gap in spiritual spaces on college campuses. She points out that while some seminaries and religious programs exist at Spelman and Morehouse, there are very few opportunities for the average student to engage in faith-based activities outside of formal religious studies. College life offers plenty of social events, but nothing dedicated solely to Jesus, which inspired them to take action.

Erica, overwhelmed with emotion, acknowledges the challenges Krista has faced in her first two years of college but celebrates how she has grown and is now leading a movement of faith among her peers. Krista and Kaiya stress that their goal is to reach students who may not have ever experienced a revival before, giving them a chance to encounter God in a fresh and powerful way.
