VaShawn has a big trip ahead—he’s heading to South Africa to perform at Orlando Stadium in Soweto, which holds a staggering 120,000 people. “It’s my first time there,” VaShawn shared, with Erica and guest host Brother Griff offering congratulations. “That’s amazing!” Erica exclaimed. “Congratulations!”
When asked about his views on the next generation of worship leaders, VaShawn noted that the landscape of gospel music has shifted, especially with the rise of online worship. “We have to be aware of the invisible worshiper,” he explained. “A lot of people aren’t going to go back into church, but they still want to worship.” His advice for the new generation? “Learn how to meditate to people’s hearts and not their minds.”
