“I know, I know, I know. They get on your last nerve sometimes,” he said. “But choose love anyway.”

MAJOR. explained that love continuously chooses us, despite our mistakes and shortcomings. He emphasized the difference between “like” and “love,” noting that while feelings can change, true love remains a commandment. “Sometimes you ain’t going to like everybody that you love, and that’s all right,” he said. “Love was never meant to be based on feeling, which is why like and love are two different things.”

He acknowledged that emotions are real and should not be ignored, but love should prevail above all else. “God never said to deny what you feel. He never said to pretend like your feelings aren’t valid. Feel that, but still choose love,” he encouraged.

Drawing from personal experience, MAJOR. likened love to the unconditional support of parents and guardians. “Think about it this way: growing up, how many times did we act up, cut up, and just refuse to grow up?” he asked. “But our mamas and daddies, grandmamas, aunties, and uncles still chose to love us.”

He then spoke about his song Why I Love You, describing it as a love letter to God that helped him better understand how love should be shared. “Love for each other was never meant to be experienced without agape—that ‘I choose you anyway’ kind of love,” he said.
