Baker, known for her rich, worshipful ballads, revealed that it had been 14 years since she last released music. The decision to return to the industry wasn’t easy, as she questioned whether she still had something significant to say. However, she decided to step outside of her usual style and release something fresh—something that would still speak to her audience but also provide a new, engaging experience. She reflected on the power of her recent live album, Beyond the Song, which featured notable artists like Jabari Johnson and Jonathan McGriddles. According to Baker, the live recording was a magical night filled with divine presence and musical collaboration.

As the worship leader at Potter’s House, a large church with an extensive congregation, Baker shared insights into how she prepares for worship services week after week. She emphasized the importance of staying grounded in prayer and seeking God’s guidance to truly minister to others. Baker explained that the preparation goes beyond rehearsal; it involves daily practice of God’s presence in everyday life.
