Praying Friends | Faith Walk

I heard a friend of mine preaching about the the paralyzed man whose four friends lowered him in the building because he needed to get to Jesus. And I’m always encouraged by that story, not just by the man’s persistence, but by the four friends who was really willing to help him break the roof to get to Jesus. Are the friends that you have in your life willing to help you get to Jesus? Or are they blocking you from Jesus. Are they willing to be radical? A radical praise for radical Jesus that was breaking the rules in that day because the religious people was telling him what he could and could not do on which day. Jesus healed the man because of his faith, and his friends helped his faith. Do your friends help your faith, or do they help you live like a fool?

I love having people who I know will pray for me, who will correct me, who will call me and say now. Erica, I’ve seen that last post you might want to take that one down. I think it’s good having people that will help you live, right? That will let you know the newest revelation that God has given them about walking upright or living right. I want us to make sure that we have the right kind of people in our lives, the right people walking through faith with us because it’s easy to do the wrong thing. That ain’t hard. Easy to it’s easy to tell somebody off when they tell you off. It’s easy to do that, but when you have somebody that’s praying with you as you do the thing that feels hard to do, that feels uncomfortable. You know, listen, this life requires discipline, and it requires keeping your mind stayed on Jesus because you want to hurt somebody. When you have people around you that help you do it, it makes it a little better.
