McReynolds introduced the song “Send Me a King,” featuring gospel legend Smokie Norful. “I’m so excited about this new record, especially this song I got to do with one of the greatest of all time,” he said. Recording with Norful was a memorable experience, as McReynolds took his mobile studio to Norful’s church. “I recorded him right there in the pastor’s office,” he revealed.

Unlike most holiday albums, Red and Green is entirely original. McReynolds explained, “It’s just a lot more fun for me to write new songs. Covers are cool, but rethinking how the Christmas season really affects you is more meaningful.” He admitted to being “a little Grinchy” at times, adding, “It’s been a long year for a lot of us, but I’m taking on the challenge of putting on my red and green.”

The tour promises to be just as engaging as the music. “You can expect humor, heartfelt songs, and moments where the audience sings along—even with new songs,” Erica Campbell noted. McReynolds shared how his early days shaped his ability to connect with fans: “Starting with acoustic gospel music taught me how to present different sounds and pull people in. Sometimes the audience sings louder than me, and they sound pretty good!”
