During today’s Faith Walk, I had to share about this amazing book I’m reading called The Power of a Prophetic Mindset by Apostle Cynthia Thompson. It’s truly blessing me and changing the way I think about what God has said. The book dives into how we align our earthly lives with the blessings God has already declared for us in heaven.

I’ve been reflecting on the scripture that says we want God’s will on earth as it is in heaven. How do we actually walk that out? How do we speak to that? How does our conscious mind connect to what God has already promised us? When you truly believe that God has already said it’s yours, it changes everything—your prayers, your mindset, your actions. You stop praying, “Oh, please, God, if you don’t mind.” Instead, you pray with the confidence that He’s already declared it.
For me, prophecy isn’t about someone telling me what house I’m going to buy or what job I’ll get next. It’s about tapping into what God has said to, for, and about us. It’s not just about the blessings we’ll receive, but about who we’ll become and the impact we’ll have. Prophecy prepares us for what’s coming, and I’m so grateful for that in my life.

Recently, I’ve been through a really tough season. Between hosting the Laugh, Cry, Heal conference, having a medical procedure, dealing with family issues, and losing a loved one, it’s been one challenge after another. But God gave me a prophetic word ahead of time, and it prepared me. He told me to fast and pray because these storms were coming. That word kept me grounded—it reminded me that God is with me, not against me, and that I shouldn’t lose hope.

Sometimes we only want the good words from prophecy, but I value those words of warning. They help me gear up for the fight, gather my prayer warriors, and make sure heaven is on my side. Prophecy is such a powerful gift, and while it’s often been misused, we need to get back to its true purpose—helping us align with God’s plan.
