Cheryl expressed excitement about the song, calling it a “banger,” noting how it showcases a different side of Bri’s musical talent. When asked about the inspiration behind Confident, Bri explained that the song is deeply personal.
“Confident was an anthem I wrote for myself,” she shared. “When I started out in this industry, I was very young and filled with doubt. I wanted to write a song that would encourage my younger self, reminding her that even with challenges ahead, everything will be okay in the end.” She stressed that confidence is key in life, especially in trusting God’s promises, and urged listeners to “wear their confidence with pride.”

The conversation then touched on Bri’s personal life, where she has faced major transitions over the last two years, including a divorce and becoming a single parent. Bri opened up about these challenges, explaining how her faith, family, and support system helped her through. “I’m just thankful I didn’t lose my mind,” she said. “My parents, especially my father, who is a pastor, kept me prayed up during that season. I had to go back home to get what I needed spiritually and naturally.”
