“Yah” is a shortened form of “Yahweh,” which is a name for God in Hebrew. We often hear “Yah” in our praise and worship experiences—it’s in our hymns and prayers as a way to honor and magnify God’s name. To me, “Yah” is such a beautiful reminder of God’s greatness and majesty. It’s a universal expression of reverence and awe, transcending language and culture.

When you hear “Yah,” think about how it connects us all. It’s more than just a word—it’s a powerful reminder of the sacredness of life and our need for humility and compassion. It calls us to approach the world with gratitude and love. Reflect on this next time you hear someone say “Yah” or even “hallelujah.” Understand the depth behind it and let it inspire you to live with reverence and kindness.
I love how Exodus 15:2 puts it: “Yah is my strength, God Yah is my song, and God is my salvation.” This is the kind of God we have, and it’s something we should share with the world.

On a lighter note, let’s talk about something fun! How about that Caribbean vibe in the new song I just played? It’s got me excited, and I’m even dreaming up a Caribbean-themed tour. Just putting it out there—let’s see what happens!
Stay tuned because coming up next is “Joy.” I’m a bit nervous but also excited to see how it all unfolds. Thanks for joining me this morning on Get Up Mornings with Erica Campbell!
