Weekend Recap: Stellar Awards, New Achievements, and Family Moments

The Stellar Awards weekend took me from my kids to Las Vegas, and let me tell you, the trip was an adventure from start to finish. One of the best parts was attending Cheryl Jackson’s party. I was thrilled to bring my son along, and he had a blast talking with Mr. Griff. It was hilarious and heartwarming to see him enjoy the conversation.

I also got to attend a screening of the movie The Forge, which is all about mentorship and discipleship for men. Starring my friend Priscilla Shirer, the film was both powerful and inspiring. Hosting the screening was such an honor, and being surrounded by people I care about made it even more special.
Friday was a big night for us as we celebrated being named a Stellar Award-winning syndicated gospel radio show! The pre-show set the tone, and Griff made quite the entrance with his camera antics. We couldn’t even enjoy the win for long before we were announced as the winner for Announcer of the Year! It was a night full of surprises and joy. I was also thrilled to win Video of the Year for “Feel All Right.” It was a long, busy night, but so worth it.

Griff shared that it was great to have his mom, sisters, and nieces and nephews with him. They navigated the red carpets and mingled with people, making it a memorable experience for the whole family. Griff noted how proud his nephew was of him and how special it was to share these moments with his family. The comedy show, mansion party, and winning were highlights that really showcased their hard work and dedication. Griff expressed his gratitude for the recognition and for the chance to spread joy and faith through their work.
