Major Discusses New Single, Inspirational EP, and Upcoming Tour

Platinum Soul Singer Major recently joined Erica Campbell on Get Up Mornings to talk about his latest projects and life updates. The interview covered everything from his new single to his marriage and upcoming tour dates.

Major introduced his new single, “Joy in the Battle,” featuring Corey Henry, describing it as a “hope anthem” written during a challenging time in his life. “I wrote a song that really speaks to choosing Joy,” Major explained. The remix, dubbed the “Church Edition,” aims to inspire listeners to find joy despite life’s battles.
Erica Campbell noted Major’s inspirational approach to music, to which he responded, “I’ve always been here. It’s always been ministry for me.” Major emphasized that his message of hope is firmly rooted in his faith, saying, “My hope that I speak about… is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and his righteousness.”

Discussing his marriage, Major shared insights into the importance of perspective in relationships. “Sometimes you gotta make room for other perspectives,” he said, expressing gratitude for his wife, Dr. White, who he lovingly calls a “doctor of education.” The couple is set to celebrate their fourth anniversary on August 8th.
Major revealed that he has several new projects in the works, including a guest star role on the NBC show “Found,” airing this fall, and a Christmas movie titled “A Hartford Christmas.” He expressed his excitement for these opportunities and thanked God for the blessings in his career.
