Presiding Bishop Joel R Peebles and his wife, Pastor Yolanda, shared their excitement and vision for the event during an interview with Erica Campbell on Get Up Morning. Bishop Peebles emphasized the unique approach of free registration, stating, “We want to use it as a time to evangelize… We gotta make sure that we open the doors freely.” This bold move aims to remove financial barriers and extend an open invitation to seekers and believers alike.

Pastor Yolanda highlighted the importance of empowering women within the fellowship. “We wanna unify women in a time where women are oversexualized, women are diminished,” she said. “I wanna shine a light on the excellence of God and women.” Her focus on unity and uplifting women underscores GUF’s commitment to holistic ministry.

The gathering promises to be a spiritual powerhouse, featuring a lineup of renowned speakers and musicians. Bishop Peebles expressed his anticipation for the event, particularly the opportunity to reconnect with legendary musician John P. Kee. “I haven’t hugged my brother in years,” he shared, highlighting the personal and emotional significance of Kee’s involvement.

Beyond the star-studded lineup, the heart of the gathering lies in fostering a global support system for pastors. “My hope is the pastor across the world, don’t have to do ministry alone,” Bishop Peebles expressed. “It’s about us as brothers and sisters coming together, helping one another out through the toughest time in world history.” This vision of unity and collaboration is at the core of GUF’s mission.
