Discussing the composition of the Supreme Court, Judge Melodee Armstrong clarified, “The Constitution says the folk we send to Congress plus the President, they set that number. It’s been between six and 10 and changed nearly 10 times since 1789. Mm. So bills have been introduced, but we need more DC Harmony to get that done, guys. Mm.”
While addressing the removal of justices, she noted, “Death, resignation, or be impeached like Trump and Representative Ocasio-Cortez filed articles against Justices Alitos and Thomas recently because they refuse to recuse themselves. They appear unethical and for their inappropriate rulings and their judgment. Yeah.”

The topic of immunity and gubernatorial pardons was also broached. Judge Melodee Armstrong expressed concerns, saying, “There’s concern even now that if Donald’s back in office, not only will he pardon, but he will sell his pardons. Mm. Wow. And so this is who, who we, who we send is very important. Right. That’s why we’ve gotta pray and vote without Cesar.”
When asked about the Fearless Fund, a venture capital firm supporting Black women entrepreneurs, Judge Melodee Armstrong highlighted the challenges faced by Black women in accessing funding. “Black women lead new businesses across the board, but they lack M VVC funding. They get less than 1%,” she explained. Unfortunately, the Fearless Fund has been hit with a setback. “The same guy who led the efforts to overturn affirmative action led this effort where two of the three judges were Trump appointees and they ruled that fearless discriminated against whites and violated the Civil Rights Act,” Judge Melodee Armstrong revealed.

Despite the ruling, the Fearless Fund remains undeterred. “So fearless is not done. They are fearless. They are assessing if they’re gonna go to trial, if they’re gonna go to the Supreme Court,” Judge Melodee Armstrong shared.
The implications of this case extend beyond the Fearless Fund. Judge Melodee Armstrong emphasized, “So this case church is about DEI in the private sector, <affirmative>. Yes. It’s already been attacked at the government level. It’s now being attacked and the private sectors and other courts are dismissing these attacks. So let’s stay tuned for these types of cases.”
